The 360 Project by Ryan Enn Hughes

Big up to Ryan Enn Hughes and Zelig Sound on this eye opening visual!

“The 360 Project” is an exploration into the crossroads of photography and motion pictures. It is a study of peak dance movements, captured simultaneously by 48 cameras aligned in a circle. There are two components to “The 360 Project” – “Ballet 360” features ballerinas from Canada’s National Ballet School, “Krump 360” features dancers from Northbuck Krump. The two styles of dance represent polemic perspectives in both technique and origin – one is beauty, the other beast. The resulting images resemble a type of digital statue – a frozen, peak moment, embodying the essence of each dance form in 360 degrees.

San Quinn "Briefcase Money" feat. Berner & Relly Rel

Rycoon "Fast Lane" feat. Jessca Chanel

On the rise, Rycoon shows us a powerful visual directed by Bay Area up and comer Powerhouse. I remember recording Jessica Chanel's hook at the studio. It's cool to see the evolution into such an epic video. Great job!

Zumbi "Mind in the Sky"

Bay Area artist and legend in my eyes, Zumbi 1/2 of the dynamic duo Zion I drops a video from his "Versus" mixtape.

Download "VERSUS"

Roach Gigz "GINA"

Roach blesses the Bay Area nonetheless the world with another visual from his latest works; "Bitch I'm a Player" which can be downloaded or purchased at www.roachgigz.com

Amp Live "Differ.e.n.t."

What a very inspiring video. I've always pictured how I would visually present my own instrumental album, and Amplive just laid a beautiful foundation! Please DOWNLOAD his free intrumental EP entitled, "You are not Human".

Black Scale "Behind the Brand"

"Supply & Demand" interviews Mega Gem, the man behind the popular street, yet controversial San Francisco clothing brand; Black Scale. I've supported Black Scale since the day J Billion walked into the studio draped up in it, the day the first pop up store opened next to my barbershop, the day they sponsored me for my first beat battle. It was always around me. It's a dope brand, and what intrigues me the most is the people's reactions when you wear it. I may not be a fashionista but, I'm sure the main goal when creating any brand, in this case clothing; is to to turn heads. It was a simple idea and risk that eventually turned into a lifestyle, something that I have lots respect for. Everyone has a dark side. At the end of the day, be content with yourself and count your blessings.

IBE 2011 "All Battles All"

My ode to the BBOY for this month. Fuckin' incredible!

Nike Mc Fly

It was an ordinary evening at Lone Pine Mall. All Kevin Durant wanted was a new pair of shoes. Then the space-time continuum showed up. Bill Hader, Christopher Lloyd, Tinker Hatfield, Donald Fullilove and KD star in a film about the most famous shoes never made, in an effort to support the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research. To learn more, go to www.back4thefuture.com. To bid on the 2011 Nike MAG shoes, go to www.nikemag.ebay.com. Together, we can help make Parkinson's disease a thing from the past. SICK!

Nike McFly "The Jacket"

C Plus "All City" [video]

The homie stretching all the way out to NY for the first time taking "All City" w/ him is true testament that the Bay Area artist has what it takes to survive in this industry. Building your network, connecting with artists a like, and most important of all respecting game where it all started. Great visual and reflective piece by none other than C Plus' go-to videographers, BOSS Media. DOWNLOAD "ALL CITY"

Rhymefest & Kanye West's "Alligator Boots"

WOW! This would've been a dope variety show, but there would be no way this would air. AND even if it did, I don't think it would last. I'm sure that it'll make it to late night Comedy Central or Cartoon Network. #crossingfingers

Beats per Minute x Exile

The Beats Per Minute series is of course in support of FLuD’s ill new line of drum machine inspired “BPM” watches, and I’ve been told that I can hook somebody up with a complementary piece. So the first person to email me @ nah.right.contests [at] gmail.com with the subject line Gimme That BPM will get a watch. Also, be sure to look out for Exile’s upcoming solo rap album (yep) 4TRK MIND, which was recorded entirely on a 4-track recorder, to drop October 4th on Soul Spazm Records.

J. Cole "Mr. Nice Watch" feat. Jay Z [download]

The last I heard, J Cole left Roc Nation, yet this song is here to possibly show the world that his relationship with Jay-Z is still mutual and it's just business. Honestly, in my opinion I think RocNation was holding onto Cole to tight and should allow him to compete w/ everyone else. Out of all the freshman, I had my money on Cole. The kid is nice, and unlike everyone else on that list, he reminded me of the music I used to make and listen to 10 years ago. You can hear this on Cole's next official release, "Cole World: The Sideline Story" in stores September 27th.

D-Pryde "Outro Flow"

Shout to the Director, Rik Cordero and creative producer Ryan Biazon! #grind

Davinci "D.R.E.A.M."

You can always expect Davinci to have quality visuals no matter what the budget or equipment. The way the SWTBRD collective and Davinci himself depicts and visualizes his environment is on point that anyone can see themselves walking in Davinci's shoes. "D.R.E.A.M." is from "Feast or Famine" which is available for download @ http://swtbrds.com/davinci Shout out to the homie @Aljieh for directing a master piece on something not DSLR!! Sick.

Berner "Yoko" feat. Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Big KRIT

I heard the record before, but the video just went HAM as fuck! Dope shit goes out to the Berner who is making huge steps and connections. I was also impressed with Chris Brown's verse, the kid had the illest scenario in the video. Also, directed by Bay Area mob director, Tha Razor and beat produced by Big KRIT.

Goapele "PLAY" [ video + download ]

Goapele is back!! It's been more than a few years since the Bay Area has heard another album from Goapele. I believe its been nearly 6 years since "Even Closer." PLAY is the first single from her upcoming album scheduled to release October 25th entitled "Break of Dawn". She's gonna kill it with this album, I know it!! DOWNLOAD

Turf Feinz x Telegraph

Culture is great. Bay Area Steez!

Young Gully "HM4" (Hustla Movement) [DOWNLOAD]

I can't deny that I've been a big fan of Young Gully's music since the day I heard him kill Souls of Mischief's "'93 Till" record. I think I say that in every Young Gully post i've published. Fuck it! Here is his latest mixtape for you to DOWNLOAD, which I suggest you do. Just like every mixtape I post.

Trust me when I tell you that there are a lot of great music coming from the Bay and Oakland native, Young Gully is amongst them. Enjoy!

P-FUNK "Everybody Gotta Eat" [DOWNLOAD]

The young homie P FUNK is like fam to me. So, it only seems right that I introduce to you his latest and by far one of my favorite projects he's released in a while. Definitely a lot of progress and growth, from his debut album "Paid Time Off". Though, there is only a couple original beats on this project, P is still able to make the records his own. Up coming next for the Bay Area artist, is his 2nd album. For now, Download!

Mike Dash E x SXSW 2010 (recap)
